ProbeHarbor Desktop
Native dashboard for your ProbeHarbor account on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Live probes, history, alerts, devices, household, and share tools — the desktop is not a sensor.
What it does (and does not)
- Does: sign in with your ProbeHarbor account, show live readings and time-to-freeze, history charts, alert settings, devices, household, share links, and portfolio. Pro can raise OS notifications for new alerts while the app is open; kiosk mode fullscreen live readings for shop displays.
- Does not: sense temperature from the PC. Probes keep posting to probeharbor.dev. For a one-space freeze/flood mood glance (and claim puck), use Bay Buddy.
Install
Linux AppImage / deb / rpm, Windows MSI, and macOS DMG ship on GitHub Releases.
- Create a free ProbeHarbor account and connect at least one probe (or the demo pull feed).
- Download ProbeHarbor Desktop for your OS and install.
- Click Connect, sign in on probeharbor.dev in the browser, and return to the desktop window when the handoff finishes.

What is ProbeHarbor Desktop?
ProbeHarbor Desktop is the native Windows, macOS, and Linux companion dashboard for your ProbeHarbor account. It covers live readings, history, alerts, devices, household, share, and portfolio — the same account as the web and Android apps. The PC is not a sensor.
Where do I download ProbeHarbor Desktop?
GitHub Releases for probeharbor-desktop: Linux AppImage/deb/rpm, Windows MSI, and macOS DMG. Start at probeharbor.dev/desktop.
How is Desktop different from Bay Buddy?
Bay Buddy is a glanceable freeze/flood mood for one space (and claim puck). ProbeHarbor Desktop is the full dashboard client. Keep both if you want a mood glance plus a native dashboard.
Will my web account work in ProbeHarbor Desktop?
Yes. Connect opens probeharbor.dev in your browser, including MFA if enabled, then hands the session back to the app over a localhost callback.
Does Desktop support notifications and kiosk mode?
Yes. On Pro, Desktop can raise OS notifications for new alert events while the app is open (Account → Desktop notifications). Kiosk mode fullscreen live readings is available from the top bar for shop displays.
