Live readings answer “what is it now?” History answers “how bad was last week?” The signed-in dashboard charts stored Supabase rows so you can zoom from recent hours to multi-month trends without re-querying the probe on every page load.

What gets stored

Each snapshot captures probe keys, temperature, humidity, and timestamps when the site polls your configured feeds. Inserts are described in Supabase history inserts. Not every page view hits your probes: polling runs on a schedule server-side.

Reading the charts

  • Compare zones to see whether one corner always runs coldest.
  • Look at nights for freeze risk rather than daytime peaks.
  • Spot gaps that may indicate feed outages: see debugging stale readings.
